John G. Bowman Faculty Grants

The Bowman Faculty Grants for Research are grants awarded to University of Pittsburgh faculty members to enhance the quality of their teaching or to develop new courses through research abroad.

This year four grants are offered to Pitt full-time faculty members who have been teaching for at least one year and one grant to a part-time faculty who have been teaching a minimum of three years at the University to enhance the quality of their teaching or to develop new courses.  

They are funded by an endowment in memory of Chancellor John Gabbert Bowman. To learn more about the grants, click here.

The application deadline for the Bowman Faculty Grants is March 15th.
