A seated female, with several applied cowry shells to show wealth and rank. Two shells from the head are missing. The back crest of the hair is broken off. The lower right arm through the right leg is cracked and repaired with yellow epoxy. There is a steel nose ring.

This striking mask has many attached cowry shells sewn to a padded cotton shell, which is overlaid the wooden mask. At the base are two pieces of sackcloth / burlap. Stained fabric and some loose shells.

This mask has a comical effect caused by an exaggeratedly large smile, large hooked nose and tremendously bulbous eyelids. Recurring arches make up the strong design of this shallow mask, which has many holes for attachments at the lower half of the piece, for a beard-like effect.

This mask shows a fairly naturalistic face that represents an applied white clay makeup, and red lip coloring. The white painted surface is meant to recall white clay applied to faces, and as such, was used to celebrate funerary services. In this way, the mask is a tool to help usher someone's spirit to another plane of existence.

This mask is unusual for the turquoise blue coloration to the face, with a small beard and coiffed hair (all incised and stained black). Three attachment holes on either side are for less-sturdy adornments, such as raffia.

A seated figure, with a red, white and blue beaded belt, sits on a stool. The headdress shows very delicate incisions in a zigzag pattern, with a central sunburst motif. The head appears to have been broken off and reattached very well.

This unusual figure is an armless female with very unusual upright braids to her hair. Also shown are three neckrolls, seadbead necklace and belt and small breasts. The sculpture is mounted with glue and a nail to a painted plywood base.

This fertility doll features a large, moon shaped head with three incised lines on its reverse. The rectangular forms created by the lines are chamfered at their front edges, forming a central diamond shape on the back of the head. A light patina or wash of tan colored clay colors the otherwise blackened wood.

These male and female figures feature high hairstyles that are simply incised, Very old and worn leather strips surrounds their necks and at their wrists. The female has a leather corset. Several deep checks appear in each, and likewise in their bases.
